Pull Up a Chair
The kitchen is of course a symbolic place, but it’s where relationships happen. We call these “community groups” and they are usually found in various homes throughout the Manor community. Community groups usually meet weekly for fellowship, Bible studies, and the breaking of bread together. This type of forum is a little more laid back and gives you time to meet with fellow believers, or to find out more about the life of a Christian. If you have a prayer need, a spiritual question, or would simply like to develop some meaningful friendships, we encourage you to visit one of these community groups.
Although you don’t have to bring anything more than yourself to one of these community groups, you might want to consider taking a Bible and something to take notes with. There is no expectation to bring refreshments with you on your first visit, but you are encouraged to partake of the feast others have brought.
The kitchen is also the place where you can serve on community projects with us as a volunteer. Manor Fellowship would like to add more value to the city in which we call home than just a Sunday morning institution of worship. Therefore, we have multiple ways to serve the community that truly make a difference and we are always on the lookout for more opportunities. From serving in the schools to the local library to Habitat for Humanity, and more… we believe in positive role models, taking care of the poor, and being the hands and feet of Christ as we model the Gospel in a practical way for our community. Let’s go into the living room where it’s more comfortable to talk more about growing deeper in your relationship with the Lord and with us. Have a seat.
