What We Believe

Manor Fellowship is a Southern Baptist church. This would make us non-denominational as the Southern Baptists are an autonomous group of churches that have aligned themselves together in the form of a convention under a unified statement of beliefs. That is why we may not look like the traditional Southern Baptist Church. So, why are we Baptists? Because, we believe in their doctrine and have chosen to adopt their statement of beliefs as our own. Therefore, to understand what it is we believe from a general sense, click here for the Southern Baptist Statement of Faith & Message.

Of course, there are other beliefs that set churches apart from one another. Most of these differences have to do with interpretation of the Scriptures and others have to do with philosophies of ministry. While these create difference with some of our brethren, they should not create division and should not break fellowship with them. For a more specific understanding of our doctrine, we have adopted the Acts 29 statement of beliefs. This is a comprehensive statement of beliefs that is in agreement with the SBC Statement of Faith & Message, but goes further to define our theological positions as well as defining what we DO NOT believe.
